More Than 30 Years of Excellence

Elree’s Sweet Shoppe is a small town bakery, family owned and operated for over 30 years. We pride ourselves in the desserts and snacks we provide our customers.

Our bakery was established by my mother, Elree Carter, after discovering her co-workers at her at Fieldcrest Mills in North Carolina took great delight in her home-made cakes, and bought them as fast as she could bake them.

That was more than 30 years ago. Since then we've delivered our cakes and treats all over Rockingham County, NC, and beyond.

When the war broke out we shipped our oatmeal cookies to the White House and the Sons and Daughters of America in Iraq. What a delight to receive a letter from Mr. Bush himself. Thank you George, it's the least we can do.

We the rest of you enjoy our sweet treats as much as our heros do. We ship nationwide.

We’ve also decided that it is time to share some of our recipes with the world. God has richly blessed us in our bakery business and I know he will always provide the things we have need of.

So as God has shared Himself with us, we would like to share ourselves with you through these traditional homestyle recipes. Some have been handed down from my grandmother.
